On the 16th of August 2018, Trevor Wills (MYDI, Director) and Lwin Oo Tint (Project Manager, Sanon Training Restaurant) gave a presentation to the members of the Rotary Club, Ballarat East, Australia. The Sanon Training Restaurant which is administered by the Myanmar Youth Development Institute (MYDI) is also a registered charity in Australia.
Trevor and Lim explained the objective of the restaurant is to train and graduate upon to 30 students each year, with its principle aim being to change the lives of local disadvantaged Myanmar youth. by providing them with vocational knowledge, skills and experience in hospitality and a working knowledge of English.
The members of the rotary club were impressed by Trevor and Lim's presentation and generously committed a donation of $500.00 AUD.
