Sanon Training Restaurant
Changing lives and building futures for Myanmar youth
The Sanon team would like to thank George Win for taking the time to share his Barista expertise with the Sanon students.
On the April 23rdGeorge Win (Senior Lecturer Hospitality) from Manukau Institute of Technology (Auckland NZ) volunteered his time to deliver a Barista workshop for all the Sanon students.
As part of Sanon’s engagement with the broader community of Nyaung U and Bagan its staff and students show their support of local community groups on a regular basis. Activities around creating awareness of Sanon’s social objectives enrich the lives of both the staff and students whilst serving the community.

U Shain Min Than is returning to Yangon to get married. He was one of our first Chefs and will be greatly missed.
On the 14th of October 2017, Sanon held its inaugural graduation ceremony for students who had completed Sanon’s training program.
The day was a great success. The ceremony was attended by representatives of government, other local officials, family and friends of the students and training staff.
This video provides an introduction to Bagan and the work of the Sanon Training Restaurant as a non-profit social enterprise. It objective to change lives and build a future for disadvantaged Myanmar youth.
